Description:

The Salvation Army of Sioux Falls is looking to hire a professional as the Development Coordinator.  This individual will provide primary leadership for all functions directly and indirectly related to voluntary resource development and community relations in the Sioux Falls area.  This includes the development, management and administration of all external relations and programs related to fund raising, marketing, media, volunteer and community relations.

The coordinator will oversee those activities necessary to gain annual renewable support, corporate support and major gifts.

Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fund raising, including prospect research, direct mail solicitation, major/special gifts and special events.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • College degree required with emphasis in business, insurance, communication, marketing and/or fund raising
  • At least 3-5 years experience indevelopment and fund raising or related fields preferred
  • Must be capable of organizing and supervising others
